Compassionate Ministry

Who We Are and What We Do

The Compassionate ministry’s goal is to care for those in need in our church body and the community while emphasizing God’s love in both word and deed.  this ministry services the needs of people.  This group spends time visiting the sick and shut-in, nursing home residents and others to bring much needed joy through song, fellowship, luncheons and the Word of God

Mission Statement

To fulfill the biblical mandate from James 2:14-17

14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Outreach Strategy

The Individual and Family: By assisting individuals with various needs (food, fellowship, clothing, and more) we are afforded the opportunity to share our faith in God, our blessings from God and the love of God.
The Community: We strive to see generations and diversity represented in the body of Christ.  We intentionally engage the people in our community as we are led by God to share the blessings and good news of Christ.

The City: We strive to be a blessing and of service within the city through various deeds and fellowship. Individuals impact communities and communities impact the city.
