New Members Ministry

Who We Are and What We Do

The New Members Ministry is the entry point for anyone wishing to unite in fellowship, worship and service with Trinity Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.  It is the responsibility of the ministry to welcome each new member into fellowship by sharing the plan of salvation with those receiving Jesus as Lord for the first time or re-dedicating himself or herself to the Lord.  Membership records are established and maintained.  A part of the welcome process is our Pairing and Sharing arm of the ministry that pairs the new members with existing members to befriend them and to make smooth their transition into the church family.  Also, we honor our new members with a fellowship orientation luncheon to introduce them to their family groups and to facilitate a way for them to meet the leads of all of the various ministries available in their new church family.  The New Members Ministry also welcomes all visitors that come to the church.

Mission Statement

To cordially welcome all members into God’s family and to provide guidance for their spiritual growth and edification.  “May you grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ…” Ephesians 4:15b, 16

Purpose

To move new members into the “Life” of the body of Christ and from simple “attending” to “belonging” to the family of God.
