Becoming a Faithful Kingdom Servant, Like Jesus

Becoming in His Presence Isaiah 53:3 He was despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and
acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not
esteem Him.
Christ was despised and rejected for telling the truth, not for feeding the 5,000 and mass healings. John
10:32 Jesus said to the religious leaders who were out to kill Him, “I have shown you many good works
from the Father. For which of these do you stone Me?” The religious leaders replied back to Him, “We
are not stoning you for any good work, but for blasphemy because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”
As faithful Kingdom Servants we must get used to being despised and rejected in this world, and yet
continue to live and proclaim the Gospel truth in love. There is no amount of good works that will cause
the world to love you if you’re living and proclaiming the truth of the Word of God. Jesus tells us in
John15:18-20 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the
world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the
world therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, a servant is not greater
than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word they will keep
yours also.”
It is important for every Kingdom servant to remember that God did not choose us to be like the world,
but to harvest it by making disciples. Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “ All
authority has been given unto Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them
to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the
age.”
Our Lord knows that this is not an easy way. That is why He is with us even to the end of the age.
Remember: Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you
shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Let’s Go!
